Hello allSmile

We have recently been approached by Lucy Allen, Assistant Producer from RDF Television, to see if any of our members would be interested in taking part in a Channel 4 documentary series exploring the UK's housing crisis:

"RDF Television are a leading independent production company, part of IWC Media. We have been commissioned by Channel 4 to make a new 5-part primetime documentary series for 2010, exploring the UK's housing crisis, with a specific focus on families and individuals in urgent housing need.

We will represent a range of compelling housing needs across the series, and we would like to address the issue of housing need for people living with illness and disability.

I'm now looking to speak to anyone who feels that their living situation has been adversely affected because of their medical condition, and who has encountered problems with their housing as a result. Perhaps, someone who is forced to sleep in their living room because their house has not been adapted and they cannot climb the stairs, or a family who are in desperate need of more space?

The series will have a campaigning feel to it, with the aim of raising awareness of these important issues at a national level.

In the first instance I'd be keen to have an informal chat with anyone who feels they have a story to tell. There is no obligation to take part in any filming by speaking to me and all calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence. In addition, I'm happy to call you back to save on phone costs. Filming isn't scheduled until later in the year, and is likely to take the form of a short profile with the individual/family at home. I have until the end of the month to complete my research and I'm available to speak to people now."

If you would like to speak to Lucy about these issues please contact her directly (mobile or email are preferable):
